In 2002 we first opened our doors as a walk in studio located within central Rotorua & we welcomed customers from that retail space for 18 years.
Since 2020 & embarking on a more balanced lifestyle, we now offer a private boutique studio by appointment only.

Elton is our sole tattooist, providing a professional experience to all our new, repeat, domestic & international clients over the last 22 years.Kellyrae is your first point of contact & the studio manager, who oversees all the communications, client relations & bookings.
We invite you to visit the about us page to get to know us both a little better. 
For all bookings & enquires please contact us with at least 24 hours before your requested booking time, so we can try & accomodate your preferred time the best we can.

"Kia whakatoomuri te haere whakamua"Throughout my journey to find the right person to gift not just myself, but also my 3 son's with our Ta Moko, the words in this whakatauki were of high importance.I was searching for someone who I would connect with, trust, was a professional, had years of experience as a tattoo artist , and who had a clean and hygienic working environment. For myself and my son's, these are important traits. That feeling (wairua) you get was there from the first moment I meet both Elton and Kellyrae. Kellyrae was my initial contact, a beautiful wahine, she explained everything in detail and made me feel right at ease. Then meeting Elton and after a lengthly korero, I knew that he is the one. The whakatauki speaks to Maaori perspectives of time, where the past, the present and the future are viewed as being intertwined. Our past shapes both our present and future identity, and during the korero and drawing phase of each of our Ta Moko, Elton fully understood the connecting whaanau factors of our Ta Moko and could relate to this.Elton has a deeper understanding of the significance that when he marks our tinana (body) with ink, that every line speaks of our whakapapa.Through the skill and mastery that Elton possesses he has adorned myself and my 3 son's with a taonga (treasure). Ta Moko that we wear with pride, our way of ensuring that our whakapapa, hitori (history) and Tipuna (ancestors) are respected and kept alive. I have been tattooed in the past by a number of different artists in NZ , but since finding Elton and Kelly-Rae at Globus Tattoo Rotorua while on a girls weekend, I will go nowhere else. I regularly travel from Auckland to Rotorua for a Tattoo Fix. Elton and Kelly-Rae are a dream to deal with. Fast, clear and knowledgeable communication. I felt welcome from the first visit and have since been back 5 times to get Inked and have booked in again for March. Elton is a true master of his art and I have full trust in his abilities and skill. I have had 2 cover ups done and am completely in love with all work he has done. “Kellyrae was so helpful and friendly helping me with the direction my tattoo needed to go. The music was great. I was there for a large Ta Moko session, Kellyrae made me cups of tea, and made sure I was comfortable. Elton is an amazing artist, he is one of the least painful tattooers I have been tattooed by. We had really great conversation and his knowledge on Ta Moko is amazing, we talked for hours about the history of New Zealand and I’m super proud to wear one of his creations for the rest of my life. Next time I’m going to get tattooed I’m flying back to New Zealand to Get Elton to tattoo my other leg. Now to get saving. 😊Jay

Awesome place to get a tattoo from a great artist. Very friendly couple that is running this studio and both seem to care a lot about their customers. Got my first tattoo from Elton yesterday. I am more than happy and he has done a great job with the Maori style tattoo I wanted.I would definetly recommend this place, both super nice and funny people. Kelly and Elton where do we start ... Kelly is an angel great help. I had a too many ideas wasn’t sure, but her knowledge and the help, plus the magical connection between Elton and herself . I was blown away it took me three days to decide, and all she did is tell Elton three words and I have the best amazing tattoo. I am so proud to wear eltons art!! From start to finish, Globus were professional and friendly and delivered a top notch experience with a magnificent tattoo I love more and more every day. Booking was a breeze, even though I was coming from overseas. Their comprehensive terms and conditions meant I knew exactly what to expect, even if it had been my first tattoo.
My first couple of tattoos in my home country left a bit to be desired, and I'd pay to have the opportunity for Elton to do them from scratch.
It's worth paying for quality, and Elton's work is definitely quality folks! I'd even consider travelling back overseas to Rotorua if I had work to do in future!

A beautiful experience. My wife and I have been traveling through NZ and one of the last things I wanted to do before we went home was get a tattoo. We contacted Kellyrae and Elton and they were able to squeeze us in last minute which was clutch. We arrived and Elton greeted us promptly at the gate, and invited us into their beautiful shop. Elton drew up my kiwi bird stencil is front of us as we engaged in some lively conversation (amazing stories man) and my final piece came out unbelievable. This is one of the best tattoo places I have ever been. They are incredibly friendly, Elton is super talented, and they truly do care about their art and ensure people are happy with the work. I even heard them dissuade a woman from getting a tattoo because of an upcoming hike and how the rubbing might affect the healing. Their waiting room was comfortable and the price was great. If I get to visit New Zealand again, I plan on going back to get another tattoo. Daniel
Kellyrae and Elton are amazing! My husband and I were vacationing in the area and had planned to go into a few different places around Rotorua before deciding. We went into Globus Tattoo first for a consultation with Kellyrae and after that we didn't want to go anywhere else! We came back and paid our deposit for the next day! We got our tattoos - which we love, we knew we would! But even more than that we are so happy to have met Kellyrae and Elton - they are awesome and the whole experience was amazing! My husband and I have been travelling NZ and wanted a tattoo to remember our time here. Elton was quick to respond to my husbands message over Instagram (since they are closed Thursday), and he was able to squeeze us in last minute on Friday.
